Note: The following is a flip-chart outline that I prepared some years ago as a visual aid to teach my children certain principles of the gospel. I do not know if it is self-explanatory to adults. I hope to expound certain parts of it in greater detail in follow-up posts.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of miraculous power whereby a man or a woman may become a “possessor of all things” (D&C 50: 27-35; 46: 28-33) and have his or her calling and election made sure by overcoming the world
“Wherefore, he is possessor of all things; for all things are subject unto him, both in heaven and on the earth, the life and the light, the Spirit and the power, sent forth by the will of the Father through Jesus Christ, his Son. But no man is possessor of all things except he be purified and cleansed from all sin. And if ye are purified and cleansed from all sin, ye shall ask whatsoever you will in the name of Jesus and it shall be done. But know this, it shall be given you what you shall ask; and as ye are appointed to the head, the spirits shall be subject unto you. Wherefore, it shall come to pass, that if you behold a spirit manifested that you cannot understand, and you receive not that spirit, ye shall ask of the Father in the name of Jesus; and if he give not unto you that spirit, then you may know that it is not of God. And it shall be given unto you, power over that spirit; and you shall proclaim against that spirit with a loud voice that it is not of God—not with railing accusation, that ye be not overcome, neither with boasting nor rejoicing, lest you be seized therewith. He that receiveth of God, let him account it of God; and let him rejoice that he is accounted of God worthy to receive. And by giving heed and doing these things which ye have received, and which ye shall hereafter receive—and the kingdom is given you of the Father, and power to overcome all things which are not ordained of him—” (D&C 50: 27-35)
“And it shall come to pass that he that asketh in Spirit shall receive in Spirit; that unto some it may be given to have all those gifts, that there may be a head, in order that every member may be profited thereby. He that asketh in the Spirit asketh according to the will of God; wherefore it is done even as he asketh. And again, I say unto you, all things must be done in the name of Christ, whatsoever you do in the Spirit; and ye must give thanks unto God in the Spirit for whatsoever blessing ye are blessed with. And ye must practise virtue and holiness before me continually. Even so. Amen.” (D&C 46: 28-33)

Upon Condition of Repentance
Faith in Jesus leads to repentance and repentance activates justification (D&C 88: 38-39; 138: 19.)
Justification activates everything else.
Steps of repentance: recognition of sin, godly sorrow, confession, ask forgiveness, restitution, forsake sin, receive forgiveness.
“And unto every kingdom is given a law; and unto every law there are certain bounds also and conditions. All beings who abide not in those conditions are not justified.” (D&C 88: 38-39)
“And there he preached to them the everlasting gospel, the doctrine of the resurrection and the redemption of mankind from the fall, and from individual sins on conditions of repentance.” (D&C 138: 19)

Gifts of the Spirit
1) The gift to know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that he was crucified for the sins of the world.

Signs of the Spirit
1) And these signs shall follow them that believe—in my name they shall do many wonderful works; in my name they shall cast out devils; in my name they shall heal the sick; in my name they shall open the eyes of the blind, and unstop the ears of the deaf; and the tongue of the dumb shall speak; and if any man shall administer poison unto them it shall not hurt them; and the poison of a serpent shall not have power to harm them. (D&C 84: 65-72.)

Faith
1) exercised as a principle of natural action – 1st, believe it is possible and that it will happen, 2nd, make the attempt
2) exercised as a principle of supernatural action (miraculous power) – 1st, obtain justification, 2nd, obtain faith through scripture study, through asking God in prayer, or through hearing the word of God preached in power, 3rd, ask for gift needed, believing you will receive, 4th, pray in faith that action will be for the welfare of your soul, 5th, open your mouth and command in the name of Jesus. If process fails, it will be because of lack of sufficient faith. (Ether 12: 29-31.) Repeat steps until sufficient faith is gained for miracle to be performed.

How to Always Retain Remission of Sins (Justification)
And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have tasted of his love, and have received a remission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingsness, and his goodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of humility, calling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel. Definitions
Testimony is knowing the truth of something by the power of the Holy Ghost (divine revelation.)
Conversion is divine revelation that one’s sins have been forgiven and one’s nature has been changed (in other words, that justification, purification and sanctification has occurred.)
The more sure word of prophecy means a man’s knowing that he is sealed up unto eternal life, by revelation and the spirit of prophecy, through the power of the Holy Priesthood. (D&C 131: 5.)
Calling and election made sure is permanent justification, purification and sanctification.
Holy Spirit of promise is the Holy Ghost.
Sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise means that the Holy Ghost sanctifies the thing, so that the pronounced promises come to pass as long as the conditions are met.
Baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost refers to the reception of the Spirit whereby a person becomes justified and purified as by fire and sanctified by the Spirit.
Receiving the Holy Ghost comes by the prayer of faith and is what sanctifies a person (3 Nephi 27: 20.)
The gift of the Holy Ghost is the ordinance that allows the Spirit to tarry continually with a person so that the individual can eventually become permanently sanctified (D&C 130: 23.)
“Now this is the commandment: Repent, all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me and be baptized in my name, that ye may be sanctified by the reception of the Holy Ghost, that ye may stand spotless before me at the last day.” (3 Nephi 27: 20)

Principles of Petitions
We must call upon the Lord, that from Him we may receive according to our desires. (Ether 3: 2.)
And it shall come to pass that he that asketh in Spirit shall receive in Spirit. He that asketh in the Spirit asketh according to the will of God; wherefore it is done even as he asketh. (D&C 46: 28, 30.)
And the Spirit shall be given unto you by the prayer of faith. (D&C 42: 14.)
You must only ask for things in which it is possible to have faith to obtain. The scriptures call this asking for things which are right. (Mosiah 4: 21; 3 Nephi 18: 20.)
You must ask, believing that you will receive, doubting nothing. (Enos 1: 15.)
Now, what do you desire to receive? Make a list of your righteous desires.
“O Lord, thou hast said that we must be encompassed about by the floods. Now behold, O Lord, and do not be angry with thy servant because of his weakness before thee; for we know that thou art holy and dwellest in the heavens, and that we are unworthy before thee; because of the fall our natures have become evil continually; nevertheless, O Lord, thou hast given us a commandment that we must call upon thee, that from thee we may receive according to our desires.” (Ether 3: 2)

What would it be like to live in a community of the fathful; where there is a unity in purpose? What would our lives be like if we sought only that what the spirit would sanctify?
Reading your primer brought many questions liike this to mind. Sometimes it is so easy to forget what it truly means to live by faith.; so easy to forget the need for prayer and study in our lives; so easy to lapse into the malaise of temporal pleasure and miss out on the joy of the spirit. I look forward to your exposition on the topics you have presented in this outline.
The one scripture I expected to see was from Moses 6:59-61:
“That by reason of transgression cometh the fall, which fall bringeth death, and inasmuch as ye were born into the world by water, and blood, and the spirit, which I have made, and so became of dust a living soul, even so ye must be born again into the kingdom of heaven, of water, and of the Spirit, and be cleansed by blood, even the blood of mine Only Begotten; that ye might be sanctified from all sin, and enjoy the words of eternal life in this world, and eternal life in the world to come, even immortal glory;
For by the water ye keep the commandment; by the Spirit ye are justified, and by the blood ye are sanctified;
Therefore it is given to abide in you; the record of heaven; the Comforter; the peaceable things of immortal glory; the truth of all things; that which quickeneth all things, which maketh alive all things; that which knoweth all things, and hath all power according to wisdom, mercy, truth, justice, and judgment.”

That is a great compilation. I have been pondering on the supernatural action of faith for several days. Your step-by-step process is appreciated! I only figured out two of the steps by myself. Now I know what to do!
Faith is derived from the accumulations of your deep spirirtual convictions that are based in true princibles, these can come from your pe-existence or the experiences of this life. The more of these expriences that you have the grreater shall be your faith!. The first one that you had may have been as small as a mustard seed but if planted it and cared for it with all tenderness and continue to care for it it shall grow into a great tree that shall produce great faith.

I agree with your observations as to how Faith is developed in 99.9% of those seeking to build it through time & accumulated experiences. But I have experienced the Reverse of that process.
Not in moving backward toward having less Faith but rather having experienced something similar to the Brother of Jared the First time I exercised my Faith in calling upon God & wanting to know ….ARE YOU THERE ! ?
It happened many years ago. It was profound beyond human comprehension. I say these things now because after ALL the years since that time n my life, I’m finally coming to the Begining of the Conclusions shown to me in Visions.
I’m just sort of reminessing upon 36 years of Struggle of overcoming the World within myself that has stood in the SHARPEST AGONIZING CONTRAST to the things I know of our Father & Brother in Heaven.
It has been a HORRIBLY TOUGH ROAD to Repentence for me.
Given my Experiences with God & the Visions He imparted me it really left me no other choice but to make the needed changes in my life.
When I say “Changes” I’m not refering to the Basic Nature of my Heart by rather having to Struggle with EVERYTHING that caused it to be covered with every undesirable emotion that can be had in a person’s Spirit.
It’s not important as to how they got there, but rather what it has taken to Remove them.
I could have never imagined my life any tougher than it was BEFORE I found the Lord, but the past 36 years since finding Him, have proven THAT THEORY wrong.
The reason for that is that AFTER being exposed to ABSOLUTE TRUTH by Standing in God’s Presence and recieving of His Love, it becomes the worst of Living Night Mares to feel yourself slipping into the Fear & Despair of having to deal with Experiences & Emtions & Damage done to my Sprit for having under BRUTE PRESSURE I was no longer able to deal with in my youth, put me on a path of sinking as low as a person can go.
I always somehow understood from the time I was a little Boy, that God wanted me to experience these things and that He Loved me & would comfort me each time I felt I wanted to die & just leave all the emotional Pain & Chaos behind.
I tried once when I was 18 but was Miraculously brought back without any human intervention. And from that day I KNEW that God had something for me to do. WHAT I had no idea, but it cured my desire to punch out.
Two years latter when I had reached a point of SHUT DOWN & KNEW that suicide was not the answer, it was THEN that I realized the answers I could not get from Family or Friends…Needed to come from somewhere else.
These are the Feelings & Conditions that brought me to my Knees & Begging God to Manifest Himself to me. He did.
My Faith was such that I needed to know MORE than just those Feelings I always had of God’s Presence in my Life. I wanted to have Him Right There With Me. And I found that the Lord does not deny an Honest & Sincere Request.
I had absolutely had NO formal backgroung in understanding the Gospel. I had never belonged to any Church and only attened a few a couple of times with Friends.
I had never opened even the Cover of the Bible and read the first page of Scripture.
Over the next week of having my Father & Brother attend me in my home, I was given to understand my Eternal Realationship to them & was imparted the Understanding of a Future Mission in Life that was My Purpose for coming to this World.
Standing in their Presence was a HOME COMING Experience that Enlightened my Understanding of my Direct Relationship to them. One that had been Purposely Severed by Design in the Unspeakable Suffering I was exposed to in my youth and caused me to not understand the Relationship a Father has with His Son.
Father in Heaven was there to let me know that that unfilled VOID I had in my Heart for not understanding what the importance of the Presence of a Father IS in the Life of a Son, was in a few Moments Gone as He just came to me & held me in His Arms & Cried with me.
He let me know that even though I had been born of an Earthly Father who had left me, that HE was my REAL FATHER in the Spirit. He of course was NOT a Spirit but let me know that OUR SPIRITS Transend the limitations of the Flesh & I Belonged to HIM.
I was further made to understand my Relationship to my Brother Jesus.
Between the THREE of us we constituted a TRIO.
I KNEW THAT at that time, as we stood in a small tight Group with our Heads Bowed touching each others Fore Heads & arms around our shoulders & Crying over the Relief I Felt in Having Found what had ALWAYS BELONGED to US.
I can’t put to words what that was like.
Over the course of the next week, they began coming to me and informing me of a Mission I was to perform in Life. After telling me there was one, they imeadiately Opened my Eyes to a Vision of what that entailed.
It was Beyond Human Comprehension the LIGHT, WONDER & GLORY of finding myself standing in ETERNITY and EXPERIENCING a PORTION OF MY FUTURE.
It was a Vision of the MOST GLORIOUS LIGHTED CITY. At the time I recieved this Vision I was stationed in the Marines here on the East Coast & was made by them to Face a Westerly Direction as they imparted this Vision to me.
In it I UNDERSTOOD there was a GREAT WORK that God was going to Perform and I was to be His Instrument in doing that. I found myself Calling in the MOST BEAUTIFUL LANGUAGE that sounded as though I were SINGING WITH THE GREATEST OF JOY & Calling to people form the 4 Quarters of the Earth to come Join me in this City.
There were a nunmber of other Visions revealed to me over the course of the next year but they were more Personal in nature.
I have had these things BURNED into who I am & for 36 years, I’ve been CHASING these Visions.
MANY of those of a Personal Nature have already come to Pass in the Mosy Unexpected & Miraculous ways. All of which have Testified of the ENEVIBILITY of the GRAND VISION of that WORK & CITY I was shown.
The part of this that has proved so difficult has beeen TWO things.
1. Having NO BACKGROUND in Gospel Knwoledge, Ive had to AQUIRE that through Long Years of Intense Study with the Lord Steering me in the Dirrections I should Follow. There were NO Easy Give Aways to coming to the things I know.
When I first said I understood my Relationship to them was that we were a TRIO, I only was made to understand THAT on a Peronal Level as Their being My Father & Brother & I stood NEXT to my Brother Jesus.
The “Professional” Aspect of that Relationship was NOT revealed to me at that time. That was something I had to Discover on my own & CONFIRMED by them.
It took 15 years of Finding the Answer to that Question because with all the Visions I had Recieved, I saw No Point in reading Boring Scriptures untill 15 years later they decided that it was time for me to do something I had put off for 15 years…They convinced me to READ THEM.
Shorty after starting to do that, I came to KNOW the REST of the Unanswered Question I had as to WHO I was.
Since that time, Ive been made to KNOW that my TWO Sons have a Very Special Part to Play in all that is soon coming.
2. It been an ABSOLUTE BEAR getting to where I need to be. There was ALSO NO FREE RIDE to my having to Repent & Straighten out my Damaged Syke that had accumulated BEFORE having them come to me.
Man, I of ALL PEOPLE KNOW what needs to be REPENTED OF in the Annals of Human Existence. THIS is the PUROPSE for my having to WADE through SO MUCH WORLDLY—-!
I KNOW how to relate to ANYONE needing to Repent. And Calling God’s Children to REPENTENCE is a BIG PART of that GREAT WORK that ies ahead for MANY of us.
I can also FILL THE RQIRED RIGHT & ABILITY TO BRING JUDGEMENT upon those who REFUSE to Repent. Because after having to go through what my FATHER has REQUIRED ME TO GO THROUGH in MY OWN Repentance…..I can Rightfully Expect OTHERS to have to do the same. And if NOT….Then GOMEN A SIE….
I say these things now after keeping these things pretty much to myself for all these years becuase I now see History begining to unfold Rapidly to Close in on those Visions My Father imparted to me.
And So Many People are JUST NOW becoming Sensitive to BIG CHANGES that are upon us that I’ve been ACUTELY aware of for 36 years !
I see no harm in saying these things now becuase TIME is so close, my speaking out makes NO DIFFERENCE Anyway untill God CALLS ME.
Those who have been Volunteering for this Job for many Years now have NO CLUE as to the CRAPPY SIDE of the Nature of ALL that is Required for this. And to be Quite Honest….If i had this to do All Over Again, I would GLADLY Give Up my seat for ANYONE who THINKS they have what it takes. Because BELIEVE ME BROTHER, you DON’T KNOW what it took to get here & don’t WANT to know.
I’m Glad it’s almost over….The Hard Part fro ME ANYWAY. There are many ahead that are going to be in for a RIDE they’ll wish they NEVER STARTED & others who will find themselves in Heaven on Earth & Millions STUGGLING to make it to ZION…

There is one thing I failed to clarify in my last comment before not making any more comments untill the day arrives for God to Seperate, then Gather us.
I mentioned my understanding of what it means to have to Repent.
The more important Aspect of my Human Experience has been to UNDERSTAND the HURT that caused my falling from Grace.
It’s the HURT in a person’s Life that I can Empathise with & TEND TO, as I know many others can as well.
THAT is the more important Aspect of our Learning Experience & will be the Deciding Factor in God needing to Call OTHERS of Similar Experience in their Lives, to RISE to a Higher Level of Blessedness, in order to HELP THOSE who will be in DESPERATE NEED of a LOVING, GUIDING & UNDERSTANDING HAND that can RELATE to others on the DEEPEST LEVELS of SUFFERING the Human Experience.
We are FORERUNNERS to have Suffered Early On in our Lives in the Special Day we came to this Earth, in order to Gain the Necessary Experience that will be needed to ASSIST our Brothers & Sisters who will be caught in the CROSS FIRE of coming World Events & NOT KNOW which way to turn.
WE……And you probably already HAVE a Pretty Good idea of WHO you are…. have Suffered for a Grand & Nobel Future Cause.
But THANK THE LORD…..OUR turn in the Bucket will soon be over…..Know what I Mean…?
