I am glad for this forum in fasting, I recently had another experience of the wonders of fasting. A dear friend of mine had been thrown form his horse and suffered a serious injury to the tune of a broken back and terrible bruising. he just wasn't getting better so I told him I would do a four day fast for him and was confident he would be better. On the third day I called him and asked him how he was doing, he replied that he noticed something and was feeling better.

He just recently called me to tell me he had forgotten to to tell me on the fourth day of my fast he had rcovered almost completely with only minor discomfort. It has been several months since the fourth day of fasting.

To add to your point, Elijah fasted for 40 days and was also translated.
I've done extended fasting as well and would recommend it to those who are ready. There's a forum on curezone.com dedicated to water fasting with some good resources.

With fasting you have to walk before you can run. Some may want to try a raw juice fast which is gentler than a water fast.

Anyone who wants to improve their health and/or spirituality should give it a try.

This is the first time I've seen good evidence for both a bread and WATER fast. I suspect this was made possible because Moses was in the presence of God, probably by the command of God. I'd be very cautious of doing this kind of fast since I've heard you can do irreparable damage to your body and die early. Who knows, maybe this is just fear-mongering, but I'd definitely research it pretty intensely before trying it.

The problem most people would encounter if they just jumped on an extended fast is the effect of currently eating too many processed foods and not enough nutrient-rich foods into their diet.

Calorie restriction should come only after people are nourished. And most Americans, even if they look "over nourished," are vitamin, essential fatty acid, and mineral deficient.

Some people try fasting before their bodies might be ready, and then they feel sick and blame it on fasting. Fasting should never make you feel unwell -- but should have a rejuvenation effect.

I'd read this too ----> http://www.huntgatherlove.com/content/healthy-any-size

Though I agree that fasting can be very beneficial in some cases, I must say that reading this was a little disheartening-- the German saying especially. I'm a type one diabetic, which makes me physically incapable of surviving as long as other people could without food. I do pray for help, and it has worked very well.

Congratulations to Jake and good luck to michael. I'll be praying for you both.

I have performed several water only fasts and can attest to the efficacy of this process which enables the body to heal itself.
Liver congestion was resolved in 20 days. No more severe jaundice and abdominal pain.
Intestinal polyps ceased bleeding - whether they disappeared or not is unknown.
Other issues will be dealt with in future fasts.
I have witnessed several other fasts with relatives, one to reverse the effects of heart attack and the associated heart disease. This was only partially resolved due to the short fasting period of 4 days, but the quality of life has improved significantly where drugs would not have resolved such issues.
The fasting process is difficult to come to terms with in this modern era as natural methods have been supplanted with modern medicine which is allopathic at best treating only symptoms.
For those wishing to try - research first and for short durations initially. I have found the first few days always to be the hardest as detoxification takes place.
